THE NOT QUITE ALL NIGHT

This year’s Extravaganza, the 98th annual, will be held on Friday, May 9th from 8 p.m. until midnight. 

For those of you who are unaware of this incredible event, it is a great big party in the greenhouse.   Since it’s at night and kinda dark, we string loads of lights everywhere and hope the fuses don’t blow, which they usually do.  The lovely Alexandria Ladies will be serving delicious and nutritious food at absolutely no cost to you or your loved ones. 

This year’s entertainment will once again feature the musical and vocal stylings of The Hip Replacements (motto: “Chronologically challenged …. Yet musically sound”). These Masters of Syncopation consist of Chris’ musical buddies and are led by none other than ‘The Voice of Baker’s Acres’, Chris Calvin. Last year, due to several band members’ surgeries, Lazy Boy and the Recliners filled in admirably. Ever optimistic, we anticipate good health for the Hipsters this year.

Now you’re probably saying to yourself, “That sounds just like every other greenhouse ‘Not Quite All Night Extravaganza’ with free food and The Hip Replacements.” But wait, there’s more! All plants are 10% off the regular price. That’s right, 10% off. Wowsers!

In the past, mulch has been on sale the next morning for two hours but we’re changing that this year. Mulch will be on sale all day long on Saturday the 3rd - not the 10th. Be sure to mark the dates on your calendar so you don’t miss these amazing events and don’t forget to call and tell Uncle Bob and Aunt Bernice.
